MESS-MAKER AND VISUAL ARTIST WITH A CATCHY NAME BASED OUT OF ATLANTA, GA.
Photography was a hobby for myself up until stepping into the beauty industry working as a Permanent M.A.C. Artist–toward the end of that journey I began to feel that I wanted to tell more of the stories of the colorful images that were planted on all of our merchandise and walls for marketing; high-editorial/avant-garde imagery.
I had figured that perhaps stories could be told with me visually creating them and they didn’t need brilliant splashes of rouge or eye pigment (well, not always).
From that point I decided to fully embark on still-visual storytelling–even if the stories are not always mine.
There was nothing else that I wanted nor want to do but lend a mic to a story lacking a little volume.
Starting my business–I had to be mindful to not pigeon-hole myself into one facet of visual artistry; photography.
So, I kept it broad enough for the demographic that I aspire to work with and for as well as interact with.
Still a writer (in this sense) and always–a reader, which has provided me with an adequate eye to conceptualizing images, subjects, and of course… stories.
“BEING” AN OMNIUM-GATHERUM OF ARTIST:
I SEE THAT THERE IS NOT MUCH ROOM FOR HYBRID PERSONALITIES WITH HYBRID ABILITIES.
LOCAL LUCRATIVE ARTISTRY IS VERY TIGHTLY PUSHED INTO A BOX.
TO ALL WORDS AND PEOPLE ADVISING ME NOT TO BE EVERYTHING,
COMBINE EVERYTHING, HERE, I SAY…
i’m making room.
